Welcome to the English cote d'azur!

Thursday 21st April
Hello dear readers!

Summer already started here!
So here I am now in Bournemouth since last Sunday. I have flown 1 hour everyday since then, but I won't spend too much time about it on this post because until now, my flight lessons where mostly about knowing the airfield environnement and using slightly differents checklists.

So let's talk about the city and peoples here. As said on the title, it's really the equivalent of cote d'azur, but in great britain. I have been told that the sun this week is really exceptionnal anf it won't last. But I know i am a lucky person, so I do believe that summer 2011 will be different!
Beside my flight training program, my socializing schedule is also quite full. actualy I went out with differents groups almost everydays since Sunday  and i have already booked my calendar until Sunday. The only problem is that this week, most of my flights finish at 8PM, so after 30mn of cycling back home (which I will tend to reduce to 20mn after training) and time to change and go to town center, I can only meet people after 9:30PM. Anyway, I like beeing busy, times goes faster this way!
So, on Sunday I met the other french pilot students, and there are a lot here in Bournemouth!
On Monday I was on my first day at school and first experience riding bike back from the airport, so I got back really tired and didn't go out.
On tuesday, We had a drind with other pilots for the leaving of one of them german girl flatmate student .
And wednesday it was another drink out but with my owner this time and some others couchsurfers (Turkish, Irish, French and English of course).
Tonight I should be with the english speaking ATPL students and Friday BBQ on the beach. Apparently another BBQ is under preparation for this week-end but I don't have much details by now.

The Disco Church!

It is really nice to see that here we can meet and talk so easily with people. I decided to do my Commercial pilot training here to improve my English while speaking with people, And I had what i wanted!

One funny thing that I noticed here in Bournemouth is this church converted into a Disco! I hope the waitress are not nuns! Maybe the only thing you can order for drink is holy water... who knows.

weird inscription isn't it?
Also I wanted to show you this inscription saying: "Private road, children dead slow". I have to say that when i saw it, during the first 3 seconds my silly french brain understood: "children die slowly", which actually doesn't mean the same at all, and I was like "OMG WTF!!!!"

Ok, that's all folks!
